Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Scheduler II to join our team in the ship maintenance industry. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating plans and schedules for new or existing programs, determining manpower requirements, and analyzing the impact of projects on various areas such as Operations, Program Management Office, Facilities, and Crafts. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with some experience in the ship maintenance industry to develop their skills and knowledge in scheduling and project management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and coordinate plans and schedules for new or existing programs
Determine, monitor, and review manpower requirements
Analyze the effects of projects on various areas such as budgets, on time delivery, and resource availability
Formulate and recommend corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements
Develop solutions to a variety of problems of increased scope and complexity
Work under general direction from supervision, with some guidance from policies and practices
Ensure accountability for completion of projects and goals
Deliver products on time and without error
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to gather information and resolve issues
Other scheduler related activities as assigned
Work Environment
Work primarily in an office setting with some travel to customer work sites or internal company locations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Program Management Office, Facilities, and Crafts
Performance Expectations
Work is reviewed for judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy
Accountable for completion of project goals and deliverables

Required Education, Experience & Skills
Experience in the ship maintenance industry (2+ years)
2+ years with associate degree in related industry field. Work experience considered in lieu of education.
Basic understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a team setting, relying on others and others relying on you for project success
Proficiency in scheduling software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Open Plan, and Microsoft Excel and Word)
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
Experience with project management methodologies and tools
Knowledge of ship maintenance industry regulations and standards
Pay Information Full‑Time Salary Range: $61,278 - $104,173 Note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
