Qualifications
Education: Associates degree in a related field (preferred); Training and Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a behavioral health setting with at least 1 year of direct experience in staff scheduling or recruitment. Experience in Workforce Management (WFM) software, recruiting and EMR systems. Knowledge Required:
Expertise in labor optimization: understanding shift differentials, overtime mitigation, and safe staffing ratios. Proficiency in modern recruitment platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, ATS) and behavioral interviewing. High-level problem‑solving skills for resolving "last‑minute" staffing crises.
DUTIES
Strategic Recruitment
Talent Pipeline: Lead the full‑cycle hiring process, including sourcing, initial interviewing, and selection of Direct Care Staff to maintain full headcount. Speed-to-Floor
Work closely with the HR Director to execute a seamless onboarding process that transitions new hires from "offer accepted" to "shift‑ready" efficiently, ensuring all compliance documentation is met. Workforce Scheduling & Optimization
Master Schedule Ownership: Create and manage the 24/7 staff roster, ensuring 100% coverage that meets state‑mandated ratios. Real‑Time Logistics: Serve as a point of contact for call‑outs and emergencies, utilizing a "flex‑pool" or on‑call system to fill gaps without compromising care. Overtime Control: Monitor and approve shift swaps and extra hours, proactively managing the schedule to minimize unauthorized overtime and burnout. Retention & Recognition
Culture of Connection: Manage staff recognition initiatives specifically targeting shift‑based milestones and perfect attendance. Feedback Loops: Help facilitate "stay interviews" with the HR Director and Program Director to provide data‑driven insights on staff turnover. Performance Accountability
Attendance Tracking: Monitor staff punctuality and attendance patterns, delivering coaching or corrective action when scheduling policies are violated.
