Training begins in April and the season concludes in September. Employment can carry over to the 2027 concert season.**Position Title: Concert Security Guard****The Role**:Guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. May operate metal detector equipment.## **Job Functions:*** Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.* Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.* Perform possible searching of guests and bags prior to entry, continual patrol and monitoring of guest seating areas, entry control of secure areas.* Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.* Strive for a constant, safe and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests and employees by ensuring venue policies are followed by guests and employees.* Gain knowledge of all venue maps, seating charts and venue policies to appropriately answer questions if approached by guests.* Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.* Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.* Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.* Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises.* May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.* Work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather spring/summer weather conditions## **Qualifications**:* Applicants for this position are required to be at least 18 years of age.* High school diploma or equivalent experience required* Candidates considered for this position will undergo a background check and must be cleared for security guard licensing and training through St. Louis County Police. Successful applicants 18-20 years of age will be hired as a licensed security watchman; successful applicants 21+ will be hired as a licensed security guards.* Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred. Valid St. Louis County Security License is a plus.* Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.* Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills* Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy* A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs* Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sittingIf the above description sounds like you and fits your background, apply online at
