Propel Montour High School is seeking a Math Classroom Monitor.
The Math Classroom Monitor will be responsible for covering day-to-day absences in the assigned building and assisting in classrooms. This position will deliver pre‑planned assignments, as determined by the teacher of record for the class. The classroom monitor cannot create lesson plans and cannot complete grades.

Required:
You must be at least 25 years of age
You must have completed 60 semester hours or the equivalent of courses at a regionally accredited college or university located in Pennsylvania. Or, you need to have at least three (3) years experience as a paraprofessional in a school entity and currently employed as a paraprofessional in a school entity.
Complete the training on classroom management which will be provided to you.
Preferred:
High level of personal organization and planning
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
A commitment to the Promising Principles of Propel
Strong interpersonal skills, cultural competency, high degree of emotional intelligence and self‑awareness with the ability to reflect and adapt to diverse environments.
Skilled in the use of Google Suite and willingness to experiment and work with new technologies.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk around the classroom at least 75% of the time while engaging with scholars.
The person in this position constantly operates a computer and other technology in the classroom to support instruction.
The person in this position frequently communicates with various internal and external stakeholders regarding curriculum, instruction and assessment. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
When deemed age and/or developmentally appropriate, assist students in daily personal tasks (i.e., tying shoes, assisting with coats, escorting to buses, etc.).
