Job Description – Supervisor – Starbucks (260048)
Job Details Location: (specified campus location)
Schedule: Full‑time, onsite, varying days including football game days and possible campus closures.
Salary: Targeted $17.00 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned personnel for the OMU Starbucks store.
Determine work priorities, plan schedules, assign and review work.
Ensure proper cash handling, inventorying, ordering, and service line operations.
Prepare food following recipes, portion control, and menu item knowledge.
Utilize kitchen utensils, appliances, and industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
Serve food courteously with portion control and menu knowledge.
Load, carry, and transport food items to customers and dining tables safely and timely.
Wash, sanitize, and store kitchen utensils and equipment.
Scrape dishes and clean tables and serving areas.
Assist with special events across the university, including presidential luncheons and catering needs.
Assists other food services staff as needed and voluntarily where possible.
Job Requirements Education & Experience
High school diploma, GED, or culinary school graduate.
36 months experience in food services, including 12 months in a supervisory role.
Skills
Proficient in using kitchen tools and equipment.
Safe, sanitary, and effective handling of food and equipment.
Basic math skills for change, inventory, and portioning.
Read and interpret written materials and instructions.
Effective oral and written communication in English.
Understanding of nutrition and portion control.
Demonstrate Housing and Food Services core values at all times.
Physical Requirements
Must be 18 years or older.
Must submit to a background check.
Hepatitis A vaccine required if hired, or annual testing.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and adapt to a large kitchen environment with varying temperatures.
May work nights, weekends, and during emergency university closings.
Supervision
Position receives general supervision from Restaurant Manager.
Department Preferences
ServSafe Certification.
More than 36 months of restaurant kitchen supervisor/cooking experience.
