Beaumont 05 Deli - Food Service Rep - Part-Time
Join H‑E‑B as a Food Service Representative at Beaumont 05 Deli. This part‑time role is a great opportunity to work in a fast‑paced retail environment while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Provide a well‑stocked, well‑maintained department while maintaining all department and food safety/sanitation standards.
Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily.
Serve customers and take orders by telephone or in person.
Assist customers with product selections and answer questions.
Use suggestive selling techniques to build department sales.
Clean and sanitize display cases and maintain equipment.
Comply with H‑E‑B food safety and sanitation standards.
Perform inventory management processes (MSI, PAW) as required.
Operate and maintain department queue and technology systems.
Assist in technical areas such as baking, frying, decorating, and support other departments as needed.
Record production and shrink to aid in production planning.
Maintain sanitation and maintenance tasks for deli slicers.
Serve and package prepared foods, and educate customers on reheating instructions.
Maintain knowledge of customer service skills, product knowledge, and store procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum age 18.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Planning and organizational skills.
Computer skills (PC, symbol, scales, label machine).
Strong customer service skills.
Reading and writing skills.
Background Requirements
Completion of Company Orientation.
Food safety and sanitation training upon hire.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50‑70 lbs (or 55‑65 lbs depending on department).
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and reaching; tasks requiring shoulder abduction and fine motor skills.
Exposure to wet, cold, hot conditions, and loud noise occasional.
