This position is Remote in Central and Eastern Time Zone. If you are located within 40 miles to any Quest or Optum Office, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.

Positions in this function include operating data entry devices to perform a variety of data entry duties across functions including Claims and Network Operations.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 2 shifts, 6:30-3pm EST or 7-3:30pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

We offer on the job paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ability to handle billing data entry at 90 RPH timely

Responsible for maintaining production standards and quality care of 95% accuracy

Assist in other areas of the billing department when time permits or as needed

Moderate work experience within own function

Must be able to complete basic tasks without review by others

Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of working experience

Must be 18 years of age or older

1+ years of experience in insurance billing or collections

Proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications

Ability to type 55 wpm

Able to work a 40-hour schedule within the operating hours of the site

Ability to work EST hours 6:30-3pm OR 7am - 3:30pm EST

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using computers as the primary job tools

Telecommuting Requirements:

Reside within 40 miles to any Quest or Optum Office

Reside within EST or CST time zones

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Physical and Work Environment:

Able to sit for extended periods of time

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
