About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology Analyst located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX! Please note that we are hiring for various technologies within Information Systems. This role:
Designs, develops, and supports solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Works in a business process, enabling, or implementation team, and applies general knowledge of Information Systems, which is typically developed through formal education. In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding. It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. Design, define, and document solutions to meet functional, technical, security, and performance requirements while ensuring conformance to standards and complying with Enterprise Architecture strategies and direction. Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to troubleshoot and optimize integration processes. Document integration processes and maintain technical specifications. Understand broader technical vision of the Information Technology Services organization and align solutions accordingly. Lead and/or implement continuous improvement efforts. Ability work independently and as a team member. Ensure established SLA and KPI metrics are met. Assist with project shaping arrangements, along with workload planning. Platform familiarity
Familiar with SAP systems, ETL concepts, and common database and application integrations. Basic understanding with common web communication protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SOAP, ODATA). Knowledge of common authentication methods and certificates (SSO, OAuth, SAML, Basic, Keypairs). Be comfortable learning and managing new technologies. Aptitude to learn quickly. Strong knowledge and expertise with Windows system administration. Active Directory knowledge and experience is a plus. Linux administration experience is a plus. Strong working experience in a cloud environment (Azure). Entra ID knowledge and experience is a plus. On premise and cloud deployment/upgrade experience. Good expertise within DevSecOps practices. Hands‑on experience with DevSecOps toolset is a plus. Azure DevOps / GitHub. AKS / Containers. Visual Studio and Git. CI/CD pipeline experience is a plus. Automation and scripting skills like PowerShell, Azure CLI, and IaC templates. Software lifecycle management experience. Integration Services:
The ability to design, configure, and support data and application integrations across systems (e.g., SAP, Azure, APIs). This includes understanding ETL processes, protocols (REST/SOAP), authentication methods, and integration platforms. Proactive Problem Solving:
Identifying issues before they escalalte, analyzing root causes, and applying established procedures to resolve standard technical and process‑related problems. Business Processes:
Understanding how business functions operate and how technology enables or improves them. This includes partnering with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with functional needs. Technical Support / Troubleshooting:
The ability to diagnose, investigate, and resolve issues in applications, systems, integrations, or infrastructure—especially in cloud, SAP, Windows/Linux, or DevSecOps environments. Detail‑Oriented Documentation:
Creating accurate, complete technical documentation—including integration specifications, solution designs, process flows, and system configurations—ensuring clarity and adherence to architecture and compliance standards. Qualifications
Bachelor degree in IT discipline preferred or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
