This role is offered by Opal Autism Centers with a base pay range of $37,440 to $52,000 per year. The position is located at 738 Bridgeway Place, Suite 150, Eagle, Idaho 83616 and is a center‑based, full‑time role.

About the Role As a Registered Behavior Technician in Training (RBT in Training), you will work under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support children with autism. You will participate in a paid, structured training program and work toward RBT certification while providing essential support to clients and their families.

Training & Certification

All new hires receive a flat training rate of $11.00 per hour during the training period.

Training schedule for candidates with a valid 40‑hour RBT training certificate of completion:

Weeks 1‑2: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑4:00 PM

Week 3: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑4:00 PM

Training schedule for candidates without a 40‑hour RBT training certificate of completion:

Weeks 1‑2: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑4:00 PM

Weeks 3‑4: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑4:00 PM

If enrolled in an external RBT program but not yet certified, enrollment will be required in Opal’s program.

Responsibilities

Complete the 40‑hour RBT training program.

Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans.

Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress.

Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate learning and growth.

Communicate with families about their child’s daily progress.

Attend team meetings and training sessions.

Maintain adherence to ethical guidelines and BACB regulations.

Requirements

Passion for working with children and individuals with special needs.

High school diploma or GED; further education in psychology, special education, or related fields is a plus.

Willingness to complete the RBT training program and attain certification.

Ability to obtain CPR certification before employment starts.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysis practice.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desire to learn and grow professionally in behavior analysis.

Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and sit/stand/squat throughout the day.

Comfortable working fully on‑site in a center‑based setting.
