Position Overview
Temporary Financial Literacy Summer Camp Instructor – a short‑term, full‑time role with a stipend of $1,000. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and is open until March 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver interactive financial literacy lessons for camp participants.
Teach core concepts such as budgeting, saving, spending, credit, investing, and basic entrepreneurship.
Facilitate hands‑on activities, simulations, and group discussions to reinforce learning.
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Supervise campers during instructional periods and assist with transitions as needed.
Collaborate with camp leadership and staff to support daily programming.
Maintain classroom materials and ensure activities align with camp goals.
Uphold all university and camp safety policies, including youth protection standards.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience teaching, mentoring, or working with youth (K‑12 preferred).
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for young learners.
Dependable, organized, and enthusiastic about youth education.
Preferred:
3 years of experience.
