Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous/professional manner.
Answer telephone promptly and direct calls accordingly.
Maintain all correspondence from all mailboxes and distribute accordingly.
Verify patient insurance.
Prioritize the center’s business needs and assist other areas as needed.
Responsible for scheduling appointments, checking‑in/out patients, and obtaining accurate patient information.
Notify appropriate personnel of visitor arrival and direct visitor to correct area.
Perform clerical functions.
Maintain/update directory of all employees in the center.
Notify the transportation dispatcher when patients are ready for pick up.
Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.
Ensure waiting and reception areas are kept clean and tidy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Computer skills: 1 year (Required)
Medical receptionist: 1 year (Required)
Customer service: 2 years (Required)
Insurance Verification (Required)
Required Skills & Education:
Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
Ability to use computers to enter information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to connect with patients and make them feel comfortable
Patience and presence of mind
High School Diploma required
Bilingual (Spanish) Required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
May require prolonged period of standing, walking and bending
Ability to move/lift up to 20 pounds at times

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
