Asset Control Coordinator – MD Anderson Cancer Center
As an Asset Control Coordinator in the General Accounting Department, you will safeguard institutional resources by performing asset‑tracking, tagging, and disposal functions while reconciling tagged assets with the new asset report. Your role supports our mission to eliminate cancer through meticulous asset management.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, tag, and maintain accurate records for new institutional assets on the UTMDACC campus.
Update the Asset Registry and generate untagged reports for Property Officers and requested stakeholders.
Assist with annual physical inventories, filing, data entry, and inventory‑related research.
Provide customer service to Property Administrators/Officers, resolving concerns and assisting auditors with data access.
Maintain professional expertise through development programs and institutional training resources.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Associate’s degree preferred.
At least four years of experience in accounting, inventory management, or a related business field.
Experience with asset management, warehouse operations, inventory management, and computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel).
Strong customer‑service orientation.
Onsite presence required with extensive walking and travel to/from campus destinations; commuting in the Houston area and Texas Medical Center acceptable.
