About the Role: Master's Transportation is seeking a dynamic and driven HR professional to join our rapidly growing company and support our bus manufacturing team. The Human Resources Generalist is an onsite, in‑person position that plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting the full spectrum of HR functions within the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with employment laws. The Generalist is responsible for fostering a positive work environment by addressing employee relations, facilitating recruitment and supporting the onboarding processes in our Bus Manufacturing and Service division. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, providing guidance on policies, performance management, and supporting training objectives. By maintaining accurate HR records and generating insightful reports, they help guide strategic decision‑making and continuous improvement of HR practices. Ultimately, the Human Resources Generalist contributes to building a motivated, engaged, and high‑performing workforce that drives organizational success.

Essential Functions:

Maintains accuracy and compliance of employee records within a robust HRIS.

Support managers in the recruitment and hiring process.

Facilitate and engage in the talent acquisition process for assigned company departments.

Responsible for the coordination of the recruiting, screening, and onboarding in assigned departments.

Collaborate on company policies and procedures related to the employee life cycle. Ensures compliance with and understanding of established policies.

Respond to employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Assist department leaders with administration of employee benefits programs.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.

At least 3 years of experience in a human resources role with exposure to generalist responsibilities.

Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.

Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM‑CP, or equivalent.

Experience working in a vehicle manufacturing or service environment

Familiarity with HR analytics and reporting tools.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Experience with employee engagement and organizational development initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities: May train/mentor administrative staff in the department.

Work Environment: Onsite in office

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
