Math Teacher

Math Teacher Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related field
State teaching license for grades 6-12 with a math endorsement
Completion of student teaching or supervised classroom experience
Passing scores on required exams, such as Praxis or state-specific content tests
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
Deliver rigorous instruction in subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics
Differentiate lessons to support varied learning styles and academic levels, including advanced and remedial students
Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and provide timely, constructive feedback
Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and curriculum alignment across grade levels
Communicate regularly with students, families, and support staff regarding academic progress and classroom expectations
Integrate real-world applications and technology to enhance mathematical thinking and engagement
Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and departmental planning
