Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality math instruction aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
Develop engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem‑solving, and mathematical reasoning.
Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments to guide instructional decisions.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of all students.
Provide academic support, tutoring, and enrichment opportunities as needed.
Integrate technology and hands‑on learning experiences to enhance understanding of mathematical concepts.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and communication.
Create a positive, inclusive, and growth‑oriented classroom environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education or a related field required.
Master’s degree in Education or Mathematics preferred.
Valid California Teaching Credential in Mathematics (Single Subject) or Multiple Subject with math emphasis required.
Prior experience teaching math at the elementary or middle school level preferred.
Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction and use data to inform teaching practices.
Proficiency with educational technology tools and math instructional software.
