Position Overview
Our client is looking for a Strategic Technician for a 2-month contract in Hillsboro, OR 97124.
Our client is a multibillion-dollar company that provides end-to-end managed services, technology, and consulting to enable the digital workplace for small to enterprise businesses. Join their team to be part of delivering individualized experiences to a diverse range of clients in a collaborative and productive workplace environment.
Contract Duration: 2 Months
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of hands-on technical support experience (desktop, hardware, software, or server).
Ability to travel between campus buildings (personal vehicle or walking).
Strong independence, flexibility, and ability to shift priorities quickly.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to walk, sit, stand, crawl, or kneel for extended periods.
Excellent customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Windows 8, and Windows 10.
Technical certifications (A+, Net+, Server+, etc.) are a plus.
What You Will Be Doing – Daily Responsibilities PCLD / ITSC / VC Support
Install and configure operating systems on client devices.
Migrate user data during system refresh or upgrade projects.
Pick up surplus or decommissioned equipment from users.
Prepare and process old systems for re-dispositioning and e-waste.
Test and process failed hardware returned from clients.
Ensure all inventory and equipment is stored and distributed professionally.
Support interdepartmental or client deliveries as needed.
Perform daily and quarterly conference room preventative maintenance checks.
Update internal databases daily (online and offline).
Monitor operational queues to assist with break/fix support and meeting room support.
Assist with large-scale deployment, renovation, or upgrade projects.
SDI Support
Assist with server landings and decommissioning.
Prepare landing spaces and install rails and related hardware.
Perform cabling setup and remote management configuration.
Prepare servers for shipping when required.
Identify and designate parts for waterfall usage.
Handle hard drives according to proper disposal and security procedures.
Unbox/box servers and complete ISM shipping paperwork.
Provide escort services for onsite vendors or technicians.
Maintain ISMP ticketing system records.
Support RFID scanning, asset labeling, and inventory workflows.
NBS Support
Install operating systems on non-IT supported devices.
Provide break/fix troubleshooting for software and hardware.
Maintain and update ISMP database for related systems.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
