POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Food Server at our distinguished luxury resort and casino, you will be an integral part of providing exceptional dining experiences to our esteemed guests. Your role involves delivering impeccable service, showcasing menu expertise, and creating a warm and memorable atmosphere in our world‑class dining venues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor, escort them to their tables, and create a positive first impression
Provide attentive and personalized service, taking orders accurately and efficiently, and responding promptly to guest requests and inquiries
Demonstrate an in‑depth understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials, to assist guests in making informed choices
Offer recommendations for beverages, appetizers, main courses, and desserts to enhance the dining experience
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals to guests, maintaining appropriate pacing for an enjoyable dining experience
Communicate any special requests, allergies, or dietary restrictions to the kitchen team
Present a diverse range of beverages, including alcoholic and non‑alcoholic options, with an emphasis on quality and presentation
Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and verify the legal drinking age of guests when serving alcoholic beverages
Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining areas, promptly clearing empty dishes, glassware, and utensils
Set tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, and linens according to established standards
Regularly check with guests to ensure their satisfaction with the food and service, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally
Resolve any guest issues or complaints effectively, escalating matters when necessary
Present bills accurately and professionally to guests, handle payment transactions securely, and provide excellent customer service during the payment process
Work in harmony with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to ensure seamless service and a cohesive dining experience
Assist colleagues during peak times and support team members as needed
Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience as a server in an upscale restaurant or luxury hospitality setting is preferred
Knowledge of wine and beverage service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and engaging demeanor
Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment
Professional appearance and grooming standards in line with the resort's image
Basic math skills for accurate order taking and billing
Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems is a plus
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for providing top‑noble customer service
Present a polished and well‑groomed appearance, adhering to the restaurant's dress code and service standards
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple tasks and guest interactions during busy periods
Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting trays with food and beverages
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe dining environment
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
Work in a fast‑paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
