Job Overview
Arbors at Ridges Assisted Living is located on the Ebenezer Ridges Burnsville Campus near Fairview Ridges Hospital. Arbors at Ridges offers 62 breathtaking apartments and a well-established community of warm residents supported by a dedicated and seasoned staff. The Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to‑go meal service to residents.
The schedule includes:
20 hours every two weeks – Part Time
Evening shift
Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Responsibilities
Serve meals and ensure that the dining area is clean and welcoming.
Follow meal serving schedule and procedures.
Offer resident meal choices and meet resident’s specific dietary needs.
Use proper safety and sanitation techniques.
Follow dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
Follow proper procedures for dining room set‑up.
Follow proper workflow to stay on task.
Learn and become proficient with the EMenu System and restaurant‑style service.
Ensure all dishes (including flatware and drinkware) are washed, sanitized, and put away before the end of shift.
Promote and encourage positive resident relations and satisfaction.
Welcome residents and initiate conversation.
Accommodate resident requests such as food substitutions or seating changes.
Listen to any complaints and respond appropriately, referring issues to the Executive Director and Culinary Director as necessary.
Required Qualifications
Less than 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma.
1 year of experience.
