Ebenezer is looking for a
Culinary Assistant
to join our team at Nine Mile Creek in Bloomington, MN. This position is responsible for dining room and take‑out meal service to residents.
The nutrition schedule includes:
On call/Casual
Day and early evening shifts available
To maintain Casual status, employees must be willing to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per month (two shifts must be weekend shifts) and one (1) holiday shift per year. The weekend starts with the beginning of the night shift on Friday and ends with the beginning of the night shift on Sunday.
Nine Mile Creek Senior Living Community offers a total of 93 units; Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care. Our community is in Bloomington, Minnesota next to the natural and refreshing setting of Moir Park with all the culture and entertainment of the Twin Cities just minutes away. It is also close to public transportation. Responsibilities
Serve meals and ensure the dining area is clean and inviting
Follow meal serving schedule and procedures
Offer resident meal choices and meet residents’ specific dietary needs
Use proper safety and sanitation techniques
Follow dining room cleaning schedule and procedures
Follow proper procedures for dining room set‑up
Follow proper workflow to stay on task
Learn and become proficient with the EMenu System and restaurant‑style service
Ensure all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift
Promote and encourage positive resident relations and satisfaction
Welcome residents and initiate conversation
Accommodate resident requests such as food substitution or seating changes
Listen to any complaints and respond appropriately, referring issues to the Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate
Required Qualifications
Less than 1 year of previous experience
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma
1 year of previous experience
