Position Summary
The Wellness Aide supports daily operations at the Miyo Youth Wellness Center by assisting with youth supervision, wellness and cultural activities, and maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive environment for youth and families. This position works closely with elders, cultural knowledge keepers, and program staff to ensure inclusive engagement and program success.
Major Duties
Assist with youth supervision and daily wellness activities.
Support cultural, recreational, and educational programming.
Help set up, clean, and maintain program areas.
Assist staff with scheduling, check-ins, and documentation.
Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Experience working with youth or in a community setting.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of Chippewa Cree culture and traditions.
Experience in youth wellness, recreation, or cultural programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
