Description

Job Overview

Responsibilities Reports directly to the Engineering Manager or to the Production Supervisor.

Performs routine set‑up operations, minor and major routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM), and troubleshooting of highly complex or automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsible for production quality, downtime, and waste levels of machine operation.

Performs mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance—including preventive repairs, adjustments, inspection and monitoring of production and/or facility‑related equipment and machinery.

Uses judgment and consultation to analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery.

Projects a positive attitude with strong teamwork skills.

Effectively works in a team setting to support team goals and objectives.

Makes effective decisions relative to position requirements.

Plans, performs and makes decisions while troubleshooting and problem‑solving in the performance of all maintenance tasks.

Knowledge / Basic Skills Time‑management skills required to ensure all tasks are completed without delay.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to work with various teams.

Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills to analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery.

Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams and equipment specifications.

Flexible and adaptable in working with or on a variety of equipment, processes, projects or assignments.

Understanding and use of trades mathematics, calibration techniques and precision measuring instruments.

Constant mental and visual attention performing moderately complex work requiring close limits of accuracy and tolerances.

Must be Knowledgeable in the Following Areas Use of a PC including MS Excel & MS Word.

Efficient in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams, including complex automated system drawings.

Demonstrate hydraulics and pneumatics aptitude.

Ability to use a multimeter.

Sensor technology.

Basic plumbing (fluid and pneumatic).

Power transmission (gearbox, motors, belt and chain drives).

Electrical troubleshooting of circuits from low‑level signals up to 480 VAC.

Additional Experience Preferred Troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems (instrumentation, ladder logic, relay logic, VFD, servo, etc.).

Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of PLC operations, robotics and vision systems.

Mechanical design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

SAP maintenance module or equivalent computerized system (welding).

Basic skills in use of mill, lathe, welding, bearing press.
