We are currently seeking a motivated

Fabric Operations Assistant

to join our team! Supporting the Director of Textiles, you will work closely with Design and Production to facilitate fabric flow, R&D, and sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for mills; flag potential delays and ensure all target completion dates are met.

Clearly communicate technical fabric questions to overseas factories to ensure standards are maintained.

Request FDS sheets and collaborate with suppliers on pricing, minimums, width, and content; source local sub-proto yardage as needed.

Assist in ordering sample yardage for market and manage the receipt and filing of all bulk/sample lots.

Development & Data Management

Maintain precise, detailed records of all fabric developments from initial adoption through pre-production.

Request FDS for all sampled qualities and maintain organized digital files in the corporate shared folders.

Interface with Design and Production teams to ensure quality standards and fabric strategies align with brand goals.

Sample & Library Management

Organize the physical fabric library (standards, prints, and color items) to ensure it is accessible for all teams.

Cut and label swatches for Design boards; assist designers in pulling yardage for sample cutting.

Create and maintain seasonal binders of all submits and keep 1/4 yard cutting references for house records.

Requirements

Degree in Textiles, Supply Chain, Buying, or Merchandising preferred.

Previous internship experience is highly preferred.

Strong background in woven and knit construction/development.

Working knowledge of

MS Office & Excel

is required;

PLM

and

Photoshop

knowledge is a plus.

Proven ability to prioritize a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with a natural "retention for facts" and systems.

A strong brand aesthetic and understanding of the Anne Klein consumer.

Salary Range:

$55K – $60K *Actual base salary will be based upon experience, qualifications, and/or assigned unit.
