Summary
Responsible for providing administrative support to Municipal Court Department and staff and carrying out administrative responsibilities as established through departmental needs.
Target Hiring Range: $16.00 / hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Verify completeness and correctness of court filings to prevent errors and delays.
Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external requests.
Handle incoming calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate parties.
Coordinate and schedule court appearances, meetings, and other important dates.
Regularly review and update case records to reflect the latest developments and information.
Collaborate with team members on various office projects, offering support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
2 years related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications Education/ Experience:
Up to 1 year advanced study or training beyond the high school level
2 years administrative experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
General knowledge of cash handling procedure
Excellent communication skills in both oral and written correspondence
Skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
Skill at accurately scanning documents and indexing
Analytical skills in reviewing information
Ability to handle high volume of data entry with precision and accuracy
Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills
Bilingual preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Class C Texas driver's license
Physical Requirements / Work Environment The incumbent works in a typical office environment; because the work environment requires face-to-face interaction with customers the incumbent may be exposed to high stress, non-violent confrontational situations. The incumbent is expected to adequately use verbal skills to defuse interpersonal confrontation or conflict.
