Responsibilities The Inventory/Production Clerk is responsible for inventory accuracy in the manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for the production entry of the Buford plant and all satellite plants as needed. The Inventory/Production Clerk enters purchase orders for consumables used in the manufacturing process as well. (IPC) maintains organizational channels of communication regarding inventory issues and works closely with production management, freight management, Purchasing Manager and CSR’s to manage and maintain lead times. (IPC) is responsible for purchasing of outsourced items. (IPC) is also responsible for overseeing all consumable items used in the facility. (IPC) must be flexible to work 40+ hours per week. The Inventory/Production Clerk position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Maintain accurate inventory and purchase of consumable items with replenishment schedules
Set pricing margins on non-standard items
Coordinate BOM inventory with production schedule
Review and management of Over-Allocation Report and related products for “A” item products
Seek improvements in inventory accuracies
Implementation of proper inventory consumption transactions
Monitor and maintain inventory adjustments
Implement systems of inventory control
Negotiate pricing with vendors for best price
Reconcile inventory discrepancies
Manage sourcing issues
Meet with vendors
Monitor In-Transit Interplant transactions
Purchase of consumable goods
Monitor movement of inventory at other locations
Seek improvements in production efficiencies
Process invoices of outsourced items

Ability to lift a maximum of 100 lbs
Ability to perform labor in extreme temperatures and temperature changes for long periods of time
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
Position requires full range of body movement including lifting, twisting, bending, reaching, pulling and pushing
Ability to mount and dismount industrial equipment
Willingness to travel
