Opsource has partnered with a local chemical company in Inman, SC. This position is a Chemical Operator and works a 12‑hour, 4‑days‑on, 4‑days‑off swing shift, rotating between the 1st shift (7:45 am–7:45 pm) and the 3rd shift (7:45 pm–7:45 am). Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Pay:

$23.79 /hr

Shifts for the Position

12 hours, 4 days on, 4 days off. Swing shift between the 1st and 3rd shifts. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Operation of a forklift.

Operate process computer to manufacture batches.

Complete pour‑ups of chemicals as directed.

Fill/bag product up to 50 pounds.

Prepare basic chemical blends.

Perform physical and chemical testing in local monitoring stations during chemical processing.

Fill out batch sheets, computer sheets, records, logs, and charts.

Actively participate in plant safety program and processes.

Lifting various raw materials and manhandling drums less than 50 pounds.

Contribute to process improvement and innovation.

Attend and actively participate in all process meetings, daily team maintenance meetings, etc.

Responsible for the shutdown of equipment in accordance with established procedures.

Perform other assignments as required by the production manager.

Qualifications Required

High School Diploma.

The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to climb multiple steps, lift 50 pounds regularly, pass medical clearance, and wear a full‑face respirator.

Computer experience with Windows‑based software.

Qualifications Preferred

High level of computer skills and prior experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment.

Forklift experience.

SAP experience.

ADA Physical Requirements

Seating: Ability to sit down at least 50% of the day.

Standing: Ability to stand while working at least 95% of the day.

Moving: Ability to move throughout the plant at least 25% of the day.

Lifting: Ability to lift to at least 35 lbs. without assistance for 10% of the day.

Ascending/Descending: Ability to walk upstairs or use ladders at some frequency for 10% of the day.

Bending: Ability to bend or stoop for 10% of the day.

Visual Acuity: Adequate visual acuity to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens, as required.

Cognitive: Ability to make decisions, reason, and understand information, as required.
