Summer Assistant Facility Manager

$21.00-$24.00/hour

SUMMARY As an Assistant Facility Manager, you will assist in organizing, scheduling, and providing direct daily support to the Aquatic Center. In this role, you will assist the Aquatic Facility Manager in ensuring that team members can effectively prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies, enforce facility policies with a focus on stellar customer service, and assist with all swim programs. You will serve as the senior point of contact in escalated situations and will be responsible for reporting operations updates to the Aquatic Facility Manager in their absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Complete projects and tasks assigned by the Aquatic Facility Manager by set deadlines
Maintain a prompt and reliable line of communication with the Aquatic Facility Manager
Consult with the Aquatic Facility Manager and request approval for anything that may majorly impact the facility, the facility's operations, or relations with the facility's contractors
Assist in managing scheduling for the facility
Partner with the Director of Field Operations to ensure consistency of the facility's In-Service program
Serve as the point of contact/escalation forall team members in the absence of the Aquatic Facility Manager
Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the facility for lifeguard and swim program operations
Assist in managing and ensuring consistency of employee disciplinary process, including timely resolution and documentation
Submit monthlyexpense reports as required
Assist in updating Premier Aquatics Employee and Manager Portals with operating information
Assist in the facilitation of Employee Orientation on a substitute or as-needed basis
Expectations as outlined may differ according to the seasonal needs of the business (peak season/off-season)
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum
High school Diploma or equivalent required
Must be available for weekends and holidays, and will work opposite schedule of the Facility Manager
Have previous lifeguard and/or swim lesson experience
Must possess and maintain (or be able to obtain within the first ninety days of employment) required certifications through StarGuard Elite (lifeguard training, CPR, AED, and first aid), including Lifeguard Instructor Certification
Preferred
Possess or are in the process of receiving a bachelor's degree or equivalent
Three to five years of relevant experience in the Lifeguard Services industry is preferred
Two or more years of previous swim lesson experience
Have a current StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Instructor certification
Physical
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours a day
Ability to obtain and maintain a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Instructor Certification
Work in an outdoor environment exposed to natural elements
Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 50 pounds
Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water
May be exposed to prolonged periods of being outdoors
