Overview
The Administrative Assistant reports daily to Schenck Building on the main campus in Harrogate, TN and works with the school of Engineering Dean, Faculty and Staff. The position includes general office duties, welcoming visitors, managing communications, maintaining records, working with students and assisting with reports as needed.
Responsibilities
Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and the community at large.
Provide administrative support to the Dean, Program Directors, and faculty in carrying out responsibilities.
Participate on University committees and assist with departmental events such as capstone showcases, field trips, advisory board meetings, visit days, etc.
Maintain records and documentation supporting SACSCOC Criteria for Accreditation and ABET accreditation.
Collect, organize, and report data required for ABET and institutional assessments. Ensure student and program files are stored and managed in compliance with FERPA and University confidentiality policies.
Assist with purchasing, requisitions, tracking orders, and reconciling invoices in line with University guidelines.
Support fiscal management by maintaining accurate budgets, expense reports, and accountable records.
Establish and maintain departmental documents, coordinate annual inventory, and oversee effective office organization and management procedures.
Perform general office duties including word processing, scheduling, filing, mail distribution, data collection, inventorying, and emailing.
Assist with institutional, accreditation, budgeting, assessment, and strategic planning reports.
Manage communications with School of Engineering stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, industry partners, and advisory boards.
Support the advancement of the School by ensuring timely, professional, and effective information sharing.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the School of Engineering and University mission.
Qualifications
High School Diploma and work experience in an office.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, prior administrative experience in an academic environment, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
