JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Department of Entomology is seeking applicants for a part‑time job as a lab assistant.
Responsibilities
Prepare entomological and botanical specimens using museum standards.
Manage data associated with museum specimens.
Facilitate data analysis for biological research involving plant galls and their associated species.
Requirements, Qualifications, and/or Competencies
BS/BA in Biology with at least a minor in Statistics.
Familiarity with insect collections and specimens.
Schedule
Minimum of 20 hours per week, possibly up to 40.
Work hours between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Position will likely end between May and August.
Compensation The starting rate for this job is $16 per hour.
