Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a full‑time Independent Living Skills Counselor (IHSC) for our In‑Home Adult program in Duluth, MN. As an IHSC, you will help people with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most independent lives. Shifts:
40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Weekends are based on home needs. Salary:
$21.75‑$22.75 per hour. What We Offer

What you’ll do as an Independent Living Skills Counselor As an IHS Counselor, you will serve adults living in private home settings. You will help individuals achieve their maximum level of independence by providing skill training and supports needed to perform everyday tasks. You will assess the person’s needs and work collaboratively with the person and their support team to develop and implement support plans that will help them achieve independence in a variety of skill areas, including:
Physical and personal needs
Communication
Household management
Community living/mobility
Reduction/elimination of maladaptive behavior
Sensory/motor development
Socialization
Vocational and educational
Health and wellness
For This Position, You Will Need
A valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a working vehicle.
Education/Experience: 1. Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field.
2. Four years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
3. Associate’s degree in behavioral science or related field and two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
To pass a post‑offer background check and Motor Vehicle Report check.
