Position Summary The
Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher
supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment for infants and toddlers. This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood professional who enjoys collaborating with a team and providing consistent, high‑quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily activities and routines
Help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
Assist with daily care routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, and rest
Engage infants and toddlers in developmentally appropriate play and learning
Provide positive guidance and support children’s social‑emotional development
Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
Maintain open and respectful communication with the teaching team
Follow all state licensing regulations, health, and safety procedures
Assist with classroom organization and material preparation
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an Early Childhood Education setting
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Strong understanding of infant and toddler development
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Dependable, patient, and team‑oriented
Ability to meet all state and center background clearance requirements
