Position Title
Assistant Coach - Football

Overview North Carolina Central University is an HBCU with a proud athletics tradition. The Assistant Football Coach will collaborate with the Head Coach to develop and lead the men’s intercollegiate football program, focusing on recruiting, academic and personal development of student‑athletes, and overall program success.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist the Head Coach with supervision, organization, development, and implementation of the Division I football program.
Teach, coach, and mentor student‑athletes in practice and competitions, ensuring compliance with NCAA, MEAC, and university rules.
Conduct video analysis, plan training drills, and provide strategy input for practices and games.
Recruit and retain student‑athletes: identify prospects, manage recruiting software, and support player development.
Coordinate administrative duties such as video, travel, equipment, academic liaison, game management, marketing, camps, and related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Previous college playing and/or coaching experience at the college or high school level.
Demonstrated potential to teach, lead, and counsel college student‑athletes.
