The BCHS Dean’s Office is seeking a motivated student employee who would like to work in a professional office environment.
Job Description: To provide support to the BCHS Dean’s Office by performing a variety of clerical, organizational, and creative tasks. Responsibilities include assisting with office projects, preparing and organizing documents, designing, and posting social media content, event support, and performing other duties as assigned.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Dean’s Office staff
Assist with projects and general office organization
Support the Dean’s Office with event set-up and execution
Provide front end coverage as needed
Deliver and retrieve documents or other items to and from other offices on campus
Design and create visual materials using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
Post content on BCHS for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Perform other duties as requested, delegated, and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / BASIC COMPETENCIES (Recommended knowledge, skills, abilities)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Canva
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and dependability
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to multi-task in a faster pace environment
Ability to work independently and with others
Willing to learn and perform new tasks
REQUIREMENTS
Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at Dominican University
Maintain a 3.0 or better GPA
