Major Duties & Responsibilities
Cleaning Production Equipment: Clean industrial equipment to FDA standards using high‑pressure hoses, hot water, chemicals, brushes, and other tools. Assist with reassembly of equipment after cleaning.
Coordination with Production: Collaborate with the production team to schedule line shutdowns for the cleaning and sanitization of designated areas, as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA guidelines regarding chemical safety, personal protective equipment (PPE) for hearing and eye protection, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Food Safety and Regulations Compliance: Follow all food safety, legal, quality, and process control policies in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Clean Plant: Clean plant floor surfaces using scrubber, mops and brooms.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Current valid driver's license with reliable transportation is required
1 year experience in food production sanitation required
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in food production preferred
Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and concisely
Strong communication skills to work with various members of staff and management
Able to work in different seasonal climates and temperature changes
Excellent attention to detail and able to meet all deadlines
