Summary
Role Location: Tempe Milk Plant
1115 W Alameda Drive, Tempe, AZ 85282
Work Schedule: 4pm- 2am 4/10's, Sunday through Wednesday (Thursday, Friday Saturday off)
Is there possibility this assignment will be extended? Yes Is there a possibility this assignment will convert to full time? No this is a temp assignment only.
Overview: Entry-level technician to provide mechanical and electrical support of all components, systems, and subsystems to ensure proper operations within a dairy processing and manufacturing plant. The worker will make all repairs, replacements, and adjustments to all installed equipment as well as maintain structural integrity of the facility, as directed.
Responsibilities Major Activities Performed:
Conduct a thorough walkthrough and assessment of all equipment, in operation and shut down, and all ongoing preventive maintenance actions in progress.
Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment, as required.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, as required.
Conduct troubleshooting on all malfunctioning and/or out-of-service equipment.
Provide mechanical assistance to various plant Operators in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment, as needed.
Monitor and maintain plant systems and subsystems, as required, to operate various equipment.
Be available to work shift to fulfill personnel slotting requirements, as directed.
Requirements Required Qualifications:
3+ years in a manufacturing/production environment within a related industry (Preference is for food manufacturing).
Understanding of engineering theory and principles as related to plant operations.
Knowledge of technology: Homogenizers, Blow Molds, Electrical Distribution (480V/60U/3 Phase), Welding experience a plus.
Proper use of tools and techniques with limited supervision.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, plant drawings and schematics.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong Mechanical and Electrical aptitude.
General knowledge of plant equipment including boiler operations, fluid heat exchangers, part inventory and storage control, refrigeration cooling systems, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, air compressor operations, electrical distribution, electrical and electronic controls, welding operations.
Knowledge and understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook programs.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles.
