Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Location:

Tempe Milk Plant, Tempe, AZ 85282

Schedule:

4:00 pm – 2:00 am, 4/10’s, Sunday through Wednesday (Thursday, Friday, Saturday off)

Base Pay:

$18.83/hr – $32.00/hr

Legal Requirement:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

OVERVIEW Entry‑level technician responsible for mechanical and electrical support of all components, systems, and subsystems within a dairy processing and manufacturing plant. The technician will perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments to equipment and maintain structural integrity of the facility as directed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct thorough walkthroughs and assessments of all equipment, both operational and shut down, and review preventive maintenance actions.

Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment as required.

Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.

Diagnose malfunctioning and out‑of‑service equipment.

Assist plant operators in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

Monitor and maintain plant systems and subsystems to ensure proper equipment operation.

Be available to work shift to meet personnel slotting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED

At least 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably in food manufacturing.

Strong understanding of engineering theory and plant operations, including homogenizers, blow molds, 480V/60Hz 3‑phase electrical distribution, and welding.

Proficient use of tools and techniques with limited supervision.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, plant drawings, and schematics.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS – DESIRED

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

General knowledge of plant equipment such as boiler operations, fluid heat exchangers, refrigeration cooling systems, air compressor operations, electrical/electronic controls, and welding operations.

Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and requirements.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Temp assignment; possibility of extension.

Assignment will not convert to full time.
