Job Requirements and Duties
You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including all cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations.
You must set the example, follow ALL policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from your crew.
Responsibilities also include staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining a perfect image and adherence to standards, delivering great customer service, ensuring attendance & punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing and profitability.
Qualifications
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Receive orientation and training on the job.
Communication skills – comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas, with sudden changes in temperature while inside and outside.
Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces or tools from oven up to 500°F or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Requirements
Standing most tasks performed from a standing position.
Walking for short distances and durations; surfaces include ceramic tile “bricks” with linoleum in some food process areas; work surfaces 36″–48″ high.
Sitting for paperwork normally completed at a desk or table.
Lifting – bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds; cases stacked up to 72″ high.
Carrying – large cans, pizza sauce, trays of dough; pushing and pulling trays on dollies.
Climbing – infrequently navigate stairs or ladders for maintenance.
Stooping, bending, crouching and squatting – various directions and repeated throughout the day.
Reaching – up, down, forward; above 72″ occasionally.
Hand tasks require eye‑hand coordination; shaping dough, using pizza peel, cutter, boxes.
Driving Specific Duties and Requirements
Deliver product by car to customers, deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requires a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards, and access to an insured vehicle.
Must navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Must drive within a designated delivery area, make several deliveries per shift, travel between store and vehicle, and navigate multiple flights of stairs during delivery.
