Full time position 42.5 hours per week (5 out of 7 days) working within the opening hours of the store, Monday to Sunday, 6am to midnight with full flexibility required. Opening, closing and weekend shifts expected.

A look into the role Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

Responsibilities

Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.

Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).

Being a positive role model to the team and representing our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.

Training, managing the workload and supporting the team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring we work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.

Supporting the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.

Actively promoting and getting involved in initiatives to support the local community.

Covering the Post Office when required as part of this role and providing a P250 Post Office check from the successful candidate.

Skills for Success

You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, at least 6 months at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment.

A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.

Target-driven to help the store achieve its business plans/priorities and focused on continuous improvement.

Inspiring everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
