POSITION:
Elementary Instructional Assistant – Temporary (This position is grant funded and duration depends on availability of grant funds. Main responsibilities will include providing one‑one‑one and group tutoring.)
Associates Degree, 72 quarter (48 semester) hours of post‑secondary coursework or High School Diploma or equivalent, and pass a rigorous local assessment.
Fluency in English reading, writing, and speaking skills (for Instructional Assistants in English Language Learners classrooms).
Ability to operate standard office machines, including, computer, calculator, copy machine, and
Ability to comply with established policies or procedures necessary to complete job functions, with limited
Exercise diplomacy and tact when dealing with staff and maintain a high level of
Respect confidential
Evidence of good leadership and citizenship
An interest in
Ability to communicate well with adults and
Prior job‑related experience recommended, but not
Have a First Aid card, as requested by supervisor; and
Such alternatives to the above qualifications, as the Board may find appropriate and
