Responsibilities
Clean parts with wax and grease remover and inspect prior to painting
Prep product for final paint
Mix coatings with reducer and catalyst at correct mixtures, using color mixture equipment
Spray primers/Sealer with gravity feed primer spray gun
Apply color and clear coating with spray equipment to meet coverage and gloss standards
Check wet film mil thickness with wet mill gauge
Check dry film thickness with a dry film gauge
Must have the ability to correct errors in applications
Maintain spray equipment to meet operational standards but not including repair of equipment
Maintain paint booth cleanliness and filter changes and sign log sheets
Ensure that hazardous waste that is handled is placed in proper containers
Know spill response procedures and evacuation plan
Keep work area clean and organized
