RATE OF PAY: as per the PCT Collective Bargaining Agreement
Pawlingis seeking a dedicated and skilled Special Education Teacher with experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. The ideal candidate is collaborative, data-driven, and committed to inclusive practices that promote student independence, academic growth, and positive behavior. In addition, key responsibilities may include:
Design and deliver individualized, standards-aligned instruction based on students’ IEP Implement
ABA-based instructional and behavioral strategies , including: Data collection and progress monitoring Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Reinforcement systems and skill acquisition programs Collaborate with BCBAs, school psychologists, related service providers, and general education teachers Analyze student data to adjust instruction and behavior supports Create structured, predictable learning environments that support positive behavior Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies Participate in CSE meetings, IEP development, and compliance documentation Support inclusion and access to the general education curriculum when appropriate Special Class Experience Required NYSED Certification in Special Education (K‑12) or (1‑6) Diverse and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
