Position Summary The Software Quality Supervisor leads a team of Software Test Engineers responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of software products across development and implementation projects and activities. This role sets testing strategy, aligns quality practices with business needs, and provides technical and functional guidance to improve testing effectiveness. The supervisor oversees testing methodologies, automation practices, and leverages quality insights and metrics to drive improvements. This position also plays a key role in advancing the organization’s software quality standards, practices, and vision.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Build, mentor, and develop a skilled technical team of Software Test Engineers, providing guidance on best practices, and fostering an environment of continuous learning, collaboration and professional growth.
Drive a focused culture through performance targets, regular performance reviews, one‑on‑ones, and goal planning to propagate a positive team health and growth.
Lead the execution of manual and automated tests, ensuring timely and efficient testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
Analyze quality data, identify trends, and generate reports for management on quality metrics, suggesting improvements and necessary actions to maintain or improve software quality and reliability.
Provide functional and technical guidance, acting as a subject matter expert on testing systems and processes.
Investigate reported Bugs and Issues, conduct root cause analyses, and lead the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Continually improve QA processes and strategies to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Coordinate on‑going system enhancements to ensure systems remain accurate, reliable, secure, and effective.
Ensure that systems and processes meet all necessary regulatory requirements and business specifications.
Apply advanced knowledge of software testing methodologies, automation tools, defect tracking systems, and Agile/SDLC practices to design, execute, and improve test processes and frameworks.
Lead and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing direction, building collaboration, and resolving issues with various stakeholders internal and external to Enterprise Technology.
Manage multiple projects, prioritizing workloads, balancing resource needs, monitoring progress, and ensuring clear communication of expectations, risks, and outcomes. Demonstrated commitment to Grant PUD’s mission, vision, values, strategic plan, and Grant PUD / IBEW Local 77 Code of Excellence. The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.
Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws, regulations, security guidelines, Grant PUD policies & Procedures.
In this position, if needed to operate a GPUD vehicle for business purposes, please refer to the Vehicle/Asset Usage Policy, IS-TA-POL-001.
Actively participate in all aspects of our safety program, including but not limited to:

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Six (6) years work experience as a Test Lead, Test Manager, or closely related profession, including at least 1 year of experience leading people, projects, or cross‑functional work.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications in software quality, Agile, or project management (e.g. Scrum Master, ISTQB Foundation or Test Management)
Strong project management skills and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience applying quality management systems, auditing practices, and quality assurance principles
Experience managing high‑risk, high‑visibility projects from inception to completion.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into test cases
Collaborative and team‑oriented, fostering a cooperative work environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Skilled in development of effective testing strategies that align with project objectives and quality goals
Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks, including test automation
Management of testing resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within quality standards

Will perform work onsite at the locations of the assigned Business Units
