Hospital Housekeeping Attendant - FT - Night Shift

Hourly Range: $18.44 - $23.78
Typical Work Activities
Vacuum, sweep, mop, buff offices, corridors, stairs, stairwells, walls, furniture and equipment;
Uses extension pole, ladder and scaffolds while cleaning walls, ceilings, washing light fixtures, changing drapes, changing cubicle curtains, or other activities;
Shampoos and changes rugs when necessary;
Cleans patient rooms where a high degree of cleanliness is required to minimize the possible spread of infection;
Collects and transports linens to laundry; returns linens to assigned areas;
Gathers and disposes refuse as directed;
Cleans public and patient bathrooms, scouring sinks, wet mopping floors, disinfecting toilet bowls, wiping down all surfaces and replenishing necessary supplies;
Moves furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning tasks;
Maintains supply rooms for housekeeping throughout the facility;
Uses a variety of manual and mechanical equipment;
Performs housekeeping activities in specialized areas such as the trauma unit, intensive care, cardiac care and emergency room, where sterile conditions must be maintained;
Cleans and performs maintenance activities in areas containing scientific apparatus, laboratory supplies, experimental projects and animals;
Cleans isolated rooms and bags and disposes of contaminated equipment.
Full Performance Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics Working knowledge of the properties of various cleaning substances, ability to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions; ability to stand, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time; thoroughness; dependability; physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience requirements. Applicants must be able to perform light to moderately heavy physical labor and be able to read and understand the English language.
NOTE: Verifiable part‑time and/or volunteer experience will be pro‑rated toward meeting full‑time experience requirements.
