Role Overview Experts of store process and efficiency enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in‑stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set‑up and maintenance, and pricing processes for all areas of the store. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.
Responsibilities
Greet guests in a welcoming way while completing daily tasks.
Engage with guests, solving specific needs and thanking them for choosing Target.
Execute daily tasks assigned by the leader, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
Perform processes such as changing prices, merchandise set‑up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed for all areas.
Learn operational procedures for setting up merchandise and managing product stock levels, affecting inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the store, solving guest issues and improving their experience.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, compliance, and safety; comply with safety policies and report hazards.
Support guest services such as back‑up cashier and digital fulfillment processes, maintaining compliance culture while executing duties such as adult beverage laws.
All other duties based on business needs.
Qualifications
Knowledge of service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest‑first culture across the store.
Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency improvement.
Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals.
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices, operate handheld scanners, and use technology equipment as directed.
Works independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Resolves guest questions quickly on the spot.
Attention to detail and follows multi‑step processes.
Remains focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment, accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental elements while performing duties such as drive‑up and carry‑out.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
