Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Bellevue, NE is currently seeking Scrum Master/Principal Scrum Master. The successful candidates will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities, achieving sustainable quality products. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidates will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering. The candidates will work closely with other software developers accomplishing the following:
Complete work independently and as part of an Agile team
Support the team in completing necessary software on schedule
Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions
Collaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems
Regularly demonstrate progress to customers
Basic Qualifications For a Scrum Master/Principal Scrum Master
One of the following for Scrum Master:
A high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience
A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience
A master’s in science degree in a STEM field
One of the following for Principal Scrum Master:
A high school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of software development experience
A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience
A master’s in science degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 3 years of software development experience
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with small technical teams
Experience working in Agile software development environments
Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) or Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM™) certification
Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on‑site in Bellevue, NE
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating as a Scrum Master for an Agile software development team
Experience with DevSecOps principles and practices
Experience with object‑oriented programming, web development frameworks, and full‑stack application architectures
Demonstrated use of configuration management (Git, Bitbucket, Mercurial, Ansible Galaxy)
Demonstrated use of collaboration tool suites (Atlassian, GitLab)
Current DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $19,300.00 - $118,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long‑Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
