Project Policy/Coordinator Analyst
Location: Irvine, California | Division: School of Medicine | Department: Physiology & Biophysics | Position Type: PART TIME | Salary Range: USD $28.88/Hr. – $49.76/Hr.

Your Role on the Team
Coordinate day-to-day project management for the translational core across internal and external collaborations, including communication with internal team members, trainees, and external collaborators, and tracking the status of active collaborations and key milestones.
Manage logistics and documentation for sample and reagent shipping, tracking, and inventory for thousands of human and non-human primate samples, ensuring accurate records and appropriate chain-of-custody.
Ensure all project data are accurately documented, securely stored, and shared in an organized and timely manner with the data management team, supporting high-quality reporting and analysis.
Contribute to grant development and reporting by helping define project activities and resource needs, assisting with specific aims and related sections, and preparing or editing progress reports, slide decks, and other sponsor-required materials.
Monitor and support ongoing compliance with all relevant safety, ethics, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IRB, SCRO, IBC, human and animal subjects), including tracking deadlines for renewals and updates needed for grant reporting.
What It Takes to be Successful
Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Research experience in biological sciences, with preference for immunology, vaccine science, or virology fields.
Experience in research project or program management.
