Corporate Project Controls and Planning Manager NSB Omega is searching for a Corporate Project Controls and Planning Manager for a Full Time Staff role with one of our Key Clients.

Assignment Description The Senior Planner is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex project schedules and planning systems using Primavera P6 and advanced data analytics. This role serves as a technical authority on planning data, schedule integrity, and performance reporting, supporting informed decision‑making across large, complex programs. The position requires independent judgment, deep technical expertise, and the ability to influence project outcomes without direct people management.

Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and control fully logic‑linked, resource‑loaded project schedules in Primavera P6

Establish and maintain schedule baselines, progress updates, forecasting, and what‑if scenarios

Ensure schedule quality, integrity, and compliance with contractual, organizational, and industry standards

Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule risk assessments

Support claims avoidance and resolution through accurate schedule documentation and analysis

Data & Analytics Design and maintain planning data structures, dashboards, and performance metrics

Analyze schedule, cost, and resource data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

Integrate P6 data with other enterprise systems (e.g., cost, risk, BI platforms)

Automate reporting and data validation processes to improve accuracy and efficiency

Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to project and senior leadership

Advisory & Technical Leadership Serve as a subject matter expert for Primavera P6, planning methodologies, and data governance

Define and enforce planning standards, best practices, and controls

Review and validate schedules prepared by others and provide technical guidance

Mentor junior planners and analysts through technical coaching and peer review

Support audits, gate reviews, and executive‑level reporting

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, Data Analytics, or a related field

8–12+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls

Expert‑level proficiency in Primavera P6 (Professional or EPPM)

Advanced data analysis and visualization skills (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar tools)

Strong understanding of scheduling best practices, CPM methodology, and schedule risk concepts

Proven ability to independently manage complex, high‑value project schedules

Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PSP, PMP, PMI‑SP, AACE, or equivalent)

Experience with large capital programs or multi‑project portfolios

Knowledge of cost control, earned value management (EVM), and risk modeling

Experience developing or governing enterprise planning systems and standards
