Role Overview Senior Director of Capture Management of Government Services responsible for developing and growing the annual operating plan and long‑range strategic capture plans to ensure AAR remains competitive in the market. The position identifies and qualifies new business opportunities, develops win strategies, and provides customer and competition intelligence to enable high‑performance proposals and a strong win rate.
Responsibilities
Manage an individual sales pipeline to identify, qualify, bid on, and win new business opportunities to meet annual booking requirements.
Interface with potential government and defense customers to discuss requirements, schedules, and capabilities and collaborate with industry partners to support teaming relationships.
Conduct Business Development Gate Briefings and maintain competitive positioning in the aviation and logistics markets.
Liaise with leadership to keep AAR ahead of industry trends and emerging opportunities.
Procure new business, exceed current customer needs, and promote the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; minimum of fifteen years of international and/or Federal business experience in the U.S. defense aviation industry, ideally with military aviation exposure.
Current and active U.S. SECRET clearance preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project), CRM, and CMM tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize requirements and present business cases clearly.
Experience in program management and operations for large federal programs.
Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction, relationship management, negotiation, risk management, and team leadership.
Deep knowledge of U.S. Government and FMS program/contracting processes and acquisition/sustainment strategies.
Record of pursuing and capturing $100M+ jobs.
