Darwin Recruitment
We’re looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician who takes pride in doing the job right – whether that’s installing a brand-new system or tracking down a fault that’s been giving others headaches.
You’ll be the go-to expert on fire detection, alarm, and life safety systems, ensuring every site you touch meets the highest safety and code standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems – from control panels and initiating devices to full networked systems.
Test and inspect systems to ensure full compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (NEC), and local codes.
Diagnose and repair everything from communication faults to loop issues – quickly and accurately.
Work with leading manufacturers such as Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Fire‑Lite, and Gamewell.
Collaborate on projects with contractors, engineers, and clients to deliver seamless installations.
What You Bring
3‑5 years of experience in fire alarm installation, inspection, or service.
Solid knowledge of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems and loop/network configuration.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints with precision.
Hands‑on familiarity with multimeters, testers, and loop analysis equipment.
Clean driver’s license and the ability to work at heights or in tight spaces when needed.
Preferred
NICET Level II or III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
Experience with major platforms such as Notifier, Siemens, EST, or Honeywell.
Trade school or technical certification in electrical systems.
Previous work in commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical facilities (schools, hospitals, data centers, etc.).
If you’ve got solid experience in low‑voltage electrical systems, troubleshooting, and system commissioning, and you want to work on meaningful, technically challenging projects – this is the role for you. #HVACTech
