Assistant STEM Teacher
Snapology is a leading children’s enrichment franchise that emphasizes hands‑on STEM learning through creating, designing, interacting, and inventing. Assistant STEM Teachers support classroom instruction, promote teamwork, creativity, and problem‑solving skills, and maintain a professional environment for children ages 2‑14 and their families.
Role & Responsibilities
Lead or support groups of up to 24 students through curriculum‑guided activities
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
Manage student behavior and enforce classroom rules and disciplinary procedures
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Prepare for each program by reviewing curriculum, watching training videos, and attending training sessions
Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
Encourage students and parents to enroll in future Snapology programs
Participate in periodic Snapology training and staff meetings as required
Qualifications
Current criminal and child clearance certificates
2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
Education degree or teaching experience preferred; candidates pursuing a degree in education will also be considered
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative, effective working relationships with others
Strong oral and written communication skills
Reliability and punctuality in attendance
Programs & Schedule
Weekday after‑school and/or evening classes
Weekend workshops and/or birthday parties
Summer camps
Special events, holiday, and break workshops
Part‑time position, 6‑30 hours per week. Compensation: $25.00 – $50.00 per hour.
