Debate and Mock Trial Summer Camp Teacher
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as a Lead Instructor in our Model UN, Mock Trial, Young Investors, and Debate week‑long summer camps.
To be considered for this summer seasonal position, candidates must be available during the weeks of June 22, 2026; July 6, 2026; July 13, 2026; and July 27, 2026 and be willing to travel between Howard Community College and Montgomery County Community College.
PAID training and curriculum provided!
Enjoy the summer with our AMAZING students, working with ages 8-14 and having fun.
Black Rocket offers unique educational programs that emphasize self‑empowerment, critical thinking, and creative problem‑solving through hands‑on learning.
Responsibilities Lead instruction for Model UN, Mock Trial, Young Investors, and Debate activities.
Teach at multiple sites within a 40‑minute drive (one site per week).
Manage a group of approximately 20 students independently.
Qualifications
At least 21 years of age.
Current teaching certification or experience competing in college‑level mock trial, Model UN, or debate preferred.
Comfortable working with a group of 20 students independently.
Government, history, debate, ELA, and social studies teachers strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience coaching middle or high school academic teams highly preferred.
Available to teach multiple weeks throughout the summer.
Compensation & Benefits Rate: $20/hr - $25/hr.
Paid training.
Potential opportunities to move into supervisory roles in future years.
Employee discounts available for select camps run by Black Rocket.
We begin recruiting for summer in January and positions are filled on a rolling basis.
